What is a sweetbeast/ where do they come from?

Sweetbeasts are genderless fuzzy creatures that grow from sugary foods and drinks.

Some Sweetbeast are born from their food or drink with slight defects that will never regenerate (ex. Broken horn, notched ear, partially or fully missing appendages). All sweetbeasts are different meaning there will never be two that look exactly the same! However oftentimes sweetbeasts will look similar to each other when grown from the same food or drink as one another.

Sweetbeast features

​

Sweetbeasts have two eyes that have three separate colors for the sclera, iris, and pupil. They have zig-zag mouths that always make a smile (they will never not smile). Inside of their mouth, there are no teeth, just gums and a big tongue. The ears of a sweetbeast are always forward facing and can stick out to the sides of the head, angled upwards, or droop downwards a little. Every Sweetbeast will have a big mane and 2 horns protruding from the top of the head. Manes can be curly, straight, extra fluffy or just average fluff and horns can be any shapes. Sweetbeasts have 2 arms and 2 legs. Each hand has 4 fingers and each foot has three toes, with or without claws. The palms of the hands and the soles of the feet basically make up one single fleshy pad (they do not have individual pawpads). The tail of the sweetbeast can be as long as 7ft or as short as a little bunny tail and typically have a tuft of fur on the end. Sweetbeasts can be any bodyshape or size however most are typically pudgy given their unhealthy diets of “anything containing sugar”.

Where an animal would have blood, a sweetbeast will have sugary goo, soda, or any other mostly liquidy sugary substance. And Instead of organs, stuff they eat gets absorbed through the tummy and is suspended in the "blood". THier tummy is essentially a big pocket that absorbs food or just holds inedible items (like soda cans). They don't chew since they don't actually have teeth so what they eat is typically intact or may be split or bitten in half if it is a very large food. The bones of a sweetbeast are made of crystalized sugar but surprisingly they are as strong enough to not break unless eaten/bitten by another Sweetbeast.

Deadly veggies

Eating raw vegetables will kill a Sweetbeast. This is the only way they can die! They can eat or be created from vegetable based food if they are sweet and sugary such as carrot cake and candied yams. You can't coat a vegetable in sugar to make a Sweetbeast. And a Sweetbeast will not eat a sugar coated vegetable. If anything they would just suck the sugar off and spit out the veggie.

Regeneration and cannibalism

​

Sweetbeasts can regenerate quickly and feel no pain. They were made this way so that when there is no other food source they can eat themselves or other organisms.When biting off pieces of themselves they "bleed" and you can see thier insides close to the bite wound (Think of candy gore when drawing this!). The tails take longer to regenerate because it's the part of themselves they always eat first so as soon as it Grows to a length thier mouth can reach they bite it off again. Depending on the point of regeneration of the tail you may see the Inside cross section of the tail or it can be a fuzzy nub of the tail. Sweet Beasts with nubby tails can't reach thier tails so they eat their limbs instead. If partnered, the partnered beasts will munch on each other instead of themselves. Partner beasts will do this occasionally even if other food sources are available as a sign of affection but also because again, their partner beast is their favorite flavor. If defect areas are eaten they will regenerate the same way they were previous to consumption/when they were born.

When two sweet beasts are each other's favorite flavor they become partner beasts! This is basically thier best friend and favorite snack (lol).

Can Sweetbeast be NSFW?

​

Sweetbeasts don't have genitals however they can be in NSFW situations given objects or surroundings are NSFW in nature. However it's not typical for Sweetbeasts to be interested in NSFW as most personalities are fairly innocent. Alcohol/weed based beasts are commonly the sweetbeasts seen in NSFW as they are adult oriented consumables. There are of course always exceptions. It's all based on the personality of the sweetbeast.
